Why we exist
One of the core reasons that idd exists in the first place is that we wanted to build a community that wasn't beholden to the whims of a single platform. We miss the feeling of community on the internet that came before social media took over, and we wanted to create a space that captured that spirit — where conversations can have permanence, where creative expression is valued, and where you're not at the mercy of an algorithm deciding who sees what.
We really believe that humans are a collaborative and creative species which thrive in communities, and as such collaboration and creativity are central to our mission.
